we had the grand idea to take 26 photos of daniel on his 26th birthday. we made it to 16, which in all honesty was a lot better than i thought we had done, so that's good. but we forgot to take any yesterday morning while he opened some cards and we ate cake, and then i brought the camera to lunch, but forgot again, so essentially we didn't start until around 5 pm. so here's a visual tour of what daniel did the night of his birthday...

p.s. this gives you a slight preview of our apartment, but fear not, the real tour is coming soon...

one of the things they gave him was a note explaining he was getting new golf shoes...

so he started researching new golf shoes...

after that he played games on his phone that apparently he had downloaded that day...

and then played games on tv (hey, it's his birthday, he can do what he wants)...

it gets dark here. we went to dinner with matt and kim. this is their card...

we ate at a place called screen door, where they serve southern food and sweet tea! (see the tea??)...

then we went to see the rocker at a second-run movie theater (he's wearing a new shirt from his parents)...

back at home we ate some more cake (funfetti, of course). I had forgotten to get candles for the morning cake, so i got them that day so he could blow them out (see the place where we already ate some??)...
