that's right, more songs than you know exist about christmas, and some are even regional-specific. and thus, while listening to the radio around here we've often heard the unique and magical "Christmas in the Northwest."
Aside from being musically ingenious, "Christmas in the Northwest" has some pretty solid lyrics, too. Check them out:
It may not be white
Might be a rainy night
But there's nothing like sharing
The sounds and the sights of ...
Christmas in the Northwest
Is a gift that we can share
Christmas in the Northwest
Is a child's answered prayer
Take away the presents
And they still will have a dream
For Christmas in the Northwest
Is a gift God wrapped in green
i managed to get a place to board nickel (that's actually on our block — amazing) and put a hold on our mail amongst cleaning, wrapping, working and youth group stuff in these past couple of days. so ready or not, we'll be in georgia the 18th — it's official (as if it weren't before...)!
edit :: i found this version of christmas in the northwest, which, while sans the cute kids, might give you a better idea of the song. just in case you're interested.
