christmas listening part 2

well, well, well who thought that by moving to portland we'd obtain our own christmas musical gem?

that's right, more songs than you know exist about christmas, and some are even regional-specific. and thus, while listening to the radio around here we've often heard the unique and magical "Christmas in the Northwest."

Aside from being musically ingenious, "Christmas in the Northwest" has some pretty solid lyrics, too. Check them out:

amazing. you can get a taste for just how it sounds here by listening to two elementary schoolers sing it out, which is actually really cute. but you can kind of hear how bad the song it. it's bad. but it was written in the 80's so maybe it has an excuse...


i managed to get a place to board nickel (that's actually on our block — amazing) and put a hold on our mail amongst cleaning, wrapping, working and youth group stuff in these past couple of days. so ready or not, we'll be in georgia the 18th — it's official (as if it weren't before...)!
